The video indeed seems to require a paid account, which I unfortunately don't have.

Can OP (handypants1) test if something like aftenbladet.no#@#+js(remove-attr, class, .dfp-loaded) would work?

handypants1 commented 7 months ago

I certainly can - if you wouldn't mind telling me where to input it? (Sorry for my lack of knowledge here).

I can inform that on pc, I don't have the same issue and I can see the video player in question. https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/assets/159644837/4af72cac-b61f-414f-a617-beea5238aa00

On my mac at home it just doesn't show the video player

ItsProfessional commented 7 months ago

Paste it in "My filters" in uBO settings

DandelionSprout commented 7 months ago

Normally, it'd be to click the uBO icon in the upper right of the browser (May require clicking on the puzzle piece in some instances) → The cogwheel button → Mine filtre / My Filters → Paste the entry into an empty row → Click "✓ Bruk endinger" / "✓ Apply changes".

@handypants1 Try removing ALL other extensions, disabling any DNS blocking and see if that fixes it

@handypants1 Try removing ALL other extensions, disabling any DNS blocking and see if that fixes it

looks like this solved it. Added the filter as instructed, no change. Removed all extensions and disabled DNS blocking, and we've got it back. Turn ublock back on again and video player remained. Thanks for the help!

Removed all extensions and disabled DNS blocking

Please actually follow the prerequisites instead of just ticking them:

  • [X] I have verified that DNS blocking (standalone or through a VPN) is not causing the issue.

  • [X] I have verified that other extensions are not causing the issue.
