Erratic Run / Hold Current Setting #8

When we set the currents on our uStepper S-Lite boards , they do not appear to be working as expected. While the TMC2208 reports the current setting that was intended, the motors are running hotter than they should and are delivering more torque than required. This is reproducible on multiple boards with various steppers, from NEMA8s to NEAM17s.

Is there anything we appear to be doing wrong? Do you have any recommendations? AutonomousClock_uStepper_A.zip

I've been experimenting a little more and setting the run / hold currents to 25% / 10% seems to work, but setting them to 15% / 5% does not.
