Request for academic program requirement data #210

I am working on an application to help students plan their courses over the course of their degrees and would like to request that academic program requirements be added to the data available through the api. An example of where this data is currently accessible is here.

Ideally, this data would come in a format that could be parsed and interpreted as a checklist, like this.

Hi @Xavientois

Thanks for the request. We're aware of interest for this data across the University. However, I will not have a meaningful update on this for a significant time. The challenge is this information does not exist as data in a unified way across the faculties and programs. There is a lot of variability, depending on when a person started the program, and what academic calendars and requirements were in place at the time, or amended afterwards.

You may want to get in touch with https://uwpath.live/ and see how they went about gathering their data. This is in no way a guarantee from me/Open Data that the data is accurate and representative of all the valid options for academic requirements.
