If I remember correctly, Plotly insists on displaying heatmap plot legends as a gradient and there are no options to use discrete colors for the legend. A gradient-based legend makes no sense for the Landfast Sea Ice Extent plot.
We'll probably need to add this legend outside of Plotly. For example, a separate div below the chart or something.
