I just noticed that when you click the map on the front page of Northern Climate Reports, it displays the clicked coordinate in negative east longitude coordinates, which I guess is technically correct (?) but a strange way to say west:
And then if you view the report for that location, it displays longitude as a positive west coordinate:
We should probably make these consistent in favor of positive west coordinates.
Good catch. I guess technically with decimal degrees it's supposed to be like 65, -145. No ºN etc? This also seems sorta weird, maybe USGS has some guidance for non-GIS audiences?
