I suggest we make it clear on the website that CRU has found what it believes to be errors in 3.1 and that they have addressed those errors with a new update (3.1.01). Indicate our preliminary analysis of the old and new product show generally small differences on average, BUT individual months have the potential to produce much larger differences. Warn users that the 3.1 downscaled product continues these errors and that we caution the use of the product. Finally, indicate that we are working on downscaling the updated data and put an estimated date of completion.
