Avalon v6.5: deploy with precompiled assets causes runtime javascript error

When testing the structural metadata editor, the edit structure button disappears when clicked.

Context:

• only happens when bundle exec rake assets:precompile -- precompiled javascript (e.g., staging/production by default)
• not reproducible in a development environment (unless assets:precompile is run)

Start with upstream package.json and yarn.lock. Try yarn update-interactive the yarn audit.
