Pop up mode broken on IE 11 #173

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Visit the "Google Scholar - Pop Up Demo" tutorial in IE 11 (e.g. http://code.library.arizona.edu/gots-sample/tutorial/google-scholar---popup-demo)
  2. Click the "Start Tutorial" button

Expected Result

The tutorial will open in a new window and Google Scholar will open in your main window.

Actual Result

We get a security warning from Google Scholar:

Notes

Users have also reported that other sites (e.g. visuwords.com) are having trouble working in pop up mode in IE 11.
