More Ungoogled Chromium Flags #865

Preliminary checklist

Is your feature request related to privacy?

No

Is there a patch available for this feature somewhere?

https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium/tree/master/patches/extra/ungoogled-chromium Info about those patches

Describe the solution you would like

It would be nice, if patches, that disable or/and control interface bloat (eg. --hide-sidepanel-button and --show-avatar-button) could be added in the future versions of Cromite. It isn't really a privacy related request, but since there are some patches, that modify browser's interface integrated, I thought, that it wouldn't hurt to add some more.

Describe alternatives you have considered

Alternatively, if flags are out of question, then it would've been nice to have something like this in the chrome://settings tab.

you are the second person to ask me that. I'm not inclined to add features that I think are superfluous, but at this point I don't understand why it's being asked, maybe it's not as superfluous as I think it is. can you convince me? can you make me understand why you think it is so important?

Of course. Have you ever seen other Chromium based browsers? If you did, you've probably seen a very simple difference between those two. Most of the modern browsers either give an option to remove bloat from the interface as a setting or don't have any to begin with. It's because most of the people don't want to have unnecessary options on the screen, when they don't need them. For example, most people use their PC as their personal device. Most of the browsers respect that and give an option to customize their interface (eg. Firefox and Brave), so user doesn't have to deal with any bloat and utilize the free space for their own use or have less change on missclicking on option, that they don't need to begin with. I do respect your mission of making an improved version of Chromium by adding privacy respecting features, but remember, that this browser engine has more problems, than just lack of user's privacy respect. That said, it's your project and you're the master here, so you have the final word in this case. I just wanted to give you my perspective on how you could make your project better.
