Hi @gillins - sorry for not getting back to you on this. Been a bit manic recently with lot of new teaching materials to write but hopefully I can have another look at the MacOS builds on my local machine towards the end of the week...

Hey no worries, just thought I'd ping you on this. Won't merge until we know what's going on with the conda forge builds - I'm thinking this is a compiler problem but who knows... No hurry anyway.
