Yesterday we had a UBCx (edX at UBC) meeting. During that meeting a much more natural location for the dashboard was identified - the instructor page in the course.
What is the effort associated with moving the iframes to a tab on that page? This has relatively high priority. This page is already used by instructor to download data, for instance, and is offers a much more natural and seamless integration with the platform.
