Personally I'm not super convinced that this ideation method is the best way to go, but I think it's fine since we're past that stage this year anyway. Maybe something we can reconsider at an end-of-year review or something.

Yep! I would do the review as early as end of this semester, in case we need to open up new teams for the next semester.
