40.20240615.0 Causes games on Epic launched by Heroic to start up but have graphics issues #1234

Describe the bug

I updated today and noticed that games like Rocket League and Fall Guys launched from Heroic no longer work like before.

For Rocket League, the game window opens and the sound plays but it's just a black screen.

For Fall Guys, the FPS is really low, like 2 or 3 FPS.

What did you expect to happen?

I had to rever to 40.20240611.0 which does not have this issue. The games load smoothly and plays smoothly.

Extra information or context

Since these are graphical problems, I will note that I am using X11 on KDE with an Nvidia 3060 ti GPU. Nvidia driver version: 550.78

The issue appears to be fixed in version 40.20240618.0. Not sure what the root cause was. Hopefully it doesn't happen again :crossed_fingers:
