I suspect this message has something to do with it?

Also experiencing this and trying to help investigate. Posting to give you comfort it's not just you.
I am fairly confident this is the root cause: https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/kde-plasma-wayland-explicit-sync-driver-bug/295081
Will have to wait on NVIDIA to fix this and see.
Looks like it could be. I do have dodge windows enabled so will revert to always shown for now.
Also interesting to see the app opening frame issues being called out on that thread - i have it too
Describe the bug
The desktop freezes with no indication as to what's wrong in the logs. Panels become unresponsive while open application remain operable.
What did you expect to happen?
On the stable branch, using Wayland is typically very responsive except for the flickering issue that seems to be fixed with explicit sync. I was expecting this to be the same on Plasma 6.1.
