Steam Deck OS update channel keeps chaning #1543

Open RickS-C137 opened 2 weeks ago

RickS-C137 commented 2 weeks ago

Describe the bug

I've switched the update channel for the Steam client to beta and left the OS one to stable.

After a while I descovered that the OS channel was set to Release-Candidate, according to the gui, so I set it back to stable. But it keeps changing to RC automatically.

What did you expect to happen?

The OS channel keeps the setting I've chosen.

Can confirm the same on my end, seems only a cosmetic issue at least.

KyleGospo commented 2 weeks ago

This may be fixed in the latest update.

I just updated and it still keeps changing from stable to Beta and to testing. You just have to go from System to Security and back in the settings and it changes.

The OS branch keeps changing to an empty value on GUI on my side (I only have Stable and Beta options), it's still doing that in the latest version
