No Sound over HDMI / Bluetooth #1816

Open Borotes opened 3 weeks ago

Borotes commented 3 weeks ago

Describe the bug

I installed Bazzite on my Home Theater PC and set it up. I already used the OS in the past, but the first time on Intel Hardware.

Everything works fine, except Audio.

I testet it on 2 TVs but getting no sound. Even Bluetooth does not work. The installation is still clean.

What did you expect to happen?

Sound over HDMI / Bluetooth in Browser / Spotify / Discord.

After Locking the device it went to Sleep. Reboot didn't work, but when I unlocked the device the sound was working again.

I just installed a second pc and have the problem again. Is something wrong with the current ISO?

Last week I installed Bazzite on a Intel NUC 8. Generation and everything worked fine.

Update: After a reboot the first PC has no sound anymore. I also tested a pair of Headphones and AUX devices does not work either.

Weird question to ask, but if you toggle/enable the HDR, does sound works after that?

My TV can do HDR but I didn't activate it myself. I did not found the option for that in settings. Is it activated by default?

My fix was to power on the pc, put it to sleep Mode, reactivate it and I have sound. After using it i put it back to sleep.

But I went back to windows 11 this week because I had a weird controller bug over Bluetooth and had to manually unpair and pair my controllers each time to use them.
