After update to 41, Hybrid Laptop does not boot into KDE Plasma #1817

Since the update, when powering on my laptop, it will just show my bios splash screen and never load the sddm login screen. I have to press ALT-CTRL-F2 to login into console and run startplasma-wayland for it to load my gui session. That always loads and everything bar displaylink (I know there is bug already raised for this) works as far as I can tell.

When powering on my system, I will see the bios splash screen, after a few seconds I see the bazzite icon and activity circle. After maybe 10 seconds, the bazzite icon and circle disappears and I'm just left with the bios splash screen. Even after 10 minutes nothing changes unless I switch to console. Same behaviour occurs if I have my docking station connected via usb c or not. Same if i remove all usb devices.

Ran ujust update to apply the latest updates but no change when I boot.

Seems very similar to usual issues I experienced with nvdia cards maybe a year ago where sddm would fail before the nvidia drivers were finished loading, in that situation I'd get a flashing cursor in the top left corner and recovering would follow the same steps to login to console and running startplasma-wayland.

I also have a bazzite VM running on a proxmox server with a nvidia p400 passthrough. That is using the bazzite-nvidia:stable image and I've had no issues since I updated that.

My system, a hybrid laptop with onboard intel UHD Graphics 630 gpu and nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GDDR6 6GB gpu. Using the bazzite-nvidia-open:stable image.

I see the below from journalctl

Just an update to say the latest update seems to have fixed my issue, since applying, my laptop now loads the login screen as normal. Just checking the logs, I no longer see any errors for sddm now and not seeing any errors in the Xorg.0.log that I saw yesterday.
