On steam deck, steam ui and boot animation are on the max volume instead of the chosen one. It repairs itself after manually changing volume. It drops to levels that it should be at.
It doesn't happen always but I've observed it mostly when:
* rebooting from gnome * after turning off by holding the power button (sometimes games crashed for me and I needed this) * randomly(?) * when the os was powered off from the desktop mode rather than the game mode
I'm not technical, I don't know how it works. But I much rather it default to zero than waking up my partner randomly.
Rebased to Fedora 39. Issue is not fixed with the new pipewire package.
This seems to be something bigger as it stays at maximum also after unplugging from tv. It seems like software can't read sound level until changed manually.
