Environment:

Device: Nexus 4 (mako), 16 GB
OS: Ubuntu 16.04 (2018-09-05)
Channel: dev

Steps:

Open Music app
Albums are shown with cover
Select an album
Select play all
Swipe from right to left to shop opened apps
Swipe music app to the top to close it (during a title is played)
Open music app

Expected

Albums are displayed with specific cover

Actual:

Album is displayed with default cover (sometimes)

This is "by design" as thumbnails were generated by an online-service by Canonical. So for some cover art the offline icon might get displayed, but for many things not. Are you sure you loaded a jpg side-by-side with the music?

@Flohack74 see the original issue for more information. The files are tagged with an image.
