Description of the feature:

KDEConnnect, A application or api which will allow users of the Ubuntu Touch OS to connect as well as integrate their mobile phones to their linux devices running KDE or Gnome based desktop environments. This is a compelling feature which exists for Android based devices and has many uses in the areas of: workflow, messaging, task management, organization and file storage

Notes:

It is a already an existing opensource project that works on KDE plasma, Gnome, and Windows either directly or via apps or extentions. However there is no support for Ubuntu Touch yet.

this can be done by getting the kdeconnect app on ubuntu touch for now

Any news on this? I really would like to use KDE Connect on Ubuntu Touch.

no news yet, at that time kde connect ran at qt 5.12 and ubuntu touch on 5.9 now ubuntu touch runs on 5.12 but kde connect on 5.15

currently ubuntu touch is being rebased on 20.04 which including migrating to systemd
