3a Pixel will not recognize sim card/ make calls #1955

-------- BUG-REPORT

Steps to reproduce

Inserting a new sim card from NET10/ Verizon will say for carrier 'NONE'. This has also occurred with ATT/Cricket. ### Expected behavior I would expect it to connect to the cellular network and recognize that it is Net10/Verizon and be able to make phone calls. I have checked the IMEI number with Net10/Verizon and it said that the phone was compatible. ### Actual behavior The phone will not make any calls. After a while, under cellular data, it will say 'Denied' after searching for 1 minute. If I place the SIM card in another (non-ubuntu) phone, it will work correctly. ### Logfiles and additional information

Did Verizon already turn off 3G and 2G in their network?

I think it's a problem with VoLTE. Ubuntu Touch is working to ramp up support for VoLTE but it's still not quite there yet. See this post: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/7536/volte-voice-over-long-term-evolution

Any developments on this as of now? Any new things on the level release of 20.04?
