Not sure if this is a Feature of Ubuntu Touch or if it's a bug.
But in order to open, e.g. a pdf document, from within the File Manager I need three clicks.
First Tap on the pdf file, results in: "What do you want to do with the clicked file?" ... Well, open maybe, just in case you wonder
Second Tap: Open with another app
Third Tap on Sturm Reader (in this case)

I know that Ubuntu Touch is not a "normal" Linux distribution, but even under Windows I can specify what to do with a specific file type (and on Phosh, and Plasma Mobile). So, is there any way to open pdf (or any other) files, directly from the File Manager with one click?
Sure I know, I could open Sturm Reader first, but then I need to import the pdf first to be able to read, which also requires three clicks. Maybe it's super safe, but it's also super annoying.
I've heard there is a WIP in progress regarding that, but even it doesn't appear to, there is quite some works to be done.
Idk what is the progress status
