This can cause legal issues.
I'm aware that legally you're allowed to record things like phone calls if everyone agrees to said phone call being recorded. I'm also aware that you're legally allowed to have apps that record audio. But I believe that in certain countries, that recorders specifically for phone calls aren't legal if they're pre-installed and active.
I could be wrong, I know that sonys phone has a recording option, that is pre-installed, but you have to access it via a code in the phone app, so I believe this avoids the legal ramifications.
Of cause I could be wrong, but this is something that best be researched before we add in a call recorder.
If it is not default app make it is downloadable like 3rd party app
I updated my lineageOS phone, and it has a record button by default, so perhaps this wont be an issue until/unless we're selling phones, or this may be a none-issue after all.
It would be nice to have the option to record phonecalls.
