Dual SIM - choosing which SIM to use for contacts in address book #958

Open james-lyon opened 5 years ago

james-lyon commented 5 years ago

Steps to reproduce

System Settings --> Mobile --> For outgoing calls, use: Ask me each time / SIM1 / SIM2 (You can change the SIM for individual calls, or for contacts in the address book).

Expected behavior

I would expect to be able to define which SIM is to be used for each contact in the address book.

Actual behavior

There is no option to choose the SIM for each contact in the address book. Instead the SIM must either be selected manually for every call/message or one SIM used as default for all contacts.

Logfiles and additional information

AFAIK, this has never worked.

I would also like to see this feature on krillin.

I'm bringing this issue up again - being able to define which SIM to use for each of my contacts would be a very useful feature. At the very least, the text in italics below should be removed from the Settings page as it is currently not true: You can change the SIM for individual calls, or for contacts in the address book

This also means that, with no default SIM, the improvement made in OTA-13 does not work (Selecting the "Call" button from the contacts listing inside the Dialer now starts a call immediately instead of populating the number and waiting for confirmation from the user). I have to select which SIM to use before calling.
