the paper discusses the determination of the lowest-energy geometrical configurations of small clusters of sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl) ions, typically composed of fewer than 12 ions. in this homework, we will find out the 7 configurations which have lowest energy for Na4Cl4 as shown in Fig. 4
