Both formulas are the same. In comphysminmax, i,j represent Na and cl ions.
The above equation represents the positive and negative ions interaction.
On the other hand, this equation represents the interaction between either positive-positive ions or negative-negative ions. I believe so.
This equation is the combination of all interactions. (positive and negative ions interaction + positive-positive ions interaction and negative-negative ions interaction).
