Podcast sync #36

Hello,

I just saw the app being featured on OMG Ubuntu. Looks really promising :-)

I'm a core contributor to AntennaPod and involved in an initiative to develop a new standard to sync podcasts (subscriptions & listening progress) between clients & servers.

Would you be interested in implementing such synchronisation (at some point)? We're still very much at the early stages and it'd be cool to have you engaged in the standard development if you're interested.

More info here: https://github.com/OpenPodcastAPI/api-specs

Let me know :-) (no pressure; don't hesitate to say no)

Sure why not Though I am using a package myself that does the heavy lifting for me: https://github.com/amugofjava/podcast_search They feature itunes search and PodcastIndex. I think maybe this initative is better placed at this repo because I am using it 🤔 ? WDYT?

Hmm. Looks like that is for finding new podcasts.

Our initiative is about the step after: that when you subscribe (add) to podcast X in Funkwhale (on the web), that same podcast will also show up on your MusicPod. And that when you listen to an episode in MusicPod, that episode is also marked as played, for example, in AntennaPod (on your phone).

You're most welcome to join a call if you want to hear more - we're meeting coming Tuesday at 15:00 CEST through this Matrix room: https://matrix.to/#/!ZHdcrdWSgxXRREuJdU:matrix.org If that doesn't suit you, I think we can find another time/day also.

Hi @Feichtmeier, kind reminder for today, if you're interested.

Hi @Feichtmeier, Not sure if you saw or would see, but I sent you a message via Matrix. There's an idea for follow-up :-)
