Adding to the backlog @local-optimum's idea of exploring the possibility of having some visual indication of activity happening on the manage page.
When exploring this we need to be mindful that when there are updates available we display a green dot with the number of updates. We don't want to overload the menu item with information, leading to confusion, so this idea might not work in the end.
