The shotwell snap in candidate (rev 3) can import photos from a locally hosted folder just fine. However, if I connect my phone to import the camera folder from that device, the phone mount point looks empty from the file chooser dialog.
Also, if I click the file type drop down menu found in the bottom right corner, I get a blank box.
If I however copy the folder to my local system and then import it, it works fine.
