we should put together some automation to spin up user vm on demand - encrypted disk, security group that limits ingress to bastion IP, and egress to squid proxy, ...

input variables:
- ami - default to vpc 'client' ami
- subnet
- ip address of bastion and squid
output:
- ec2 instance ip address
