Avoid perception that BCE is a "giant pain in the ass" #13

Just wanted to open an issue here and point out that I'm overhearing conversations in the python training along these lines. It is absolutely crucial that appropriate introduction / instruction is given around BCE, or it simply should not be used. We should develop some standards around this.

We'll be having a post-intensive discussion about this, but I wanted to open an issue here. I'll be adding notes to the issue as I get details.

A fresh install of the OVA appears to immediately take ~15GB of my disk (which fortunately, I just barely had). Is there a way to only "virtually" allocate this space? Serious work should be using shared folders, right?

I'm not seeing this on my host machine. 2015-spring is 8.7GB, and that is after working a bit with it. Can you reproduce on a different host? If so, can you open a separate issue for it?
