Summary Stats tool crashes ArcCatalog #147

Seems to work well in ArcMap, but crashes in ArcCatalog and ArcCatalog hard crashes with it

I'm also experiencing some behavior that could be related to this issue:

Running Summary Stats in ArcMap is successfully the first and second time the tool is run but crashes completely on the third attempt. This hard crash completely closes the ArcMap session. Oddly, the tool seems to run fine in ArcCatalog for me. I tested the issue in ArcMap multiple times and occasionally would get this traceback error message:

I'm experiencing a similar issue with a hard crash. It's odd since this is easily the simplest tool we have...

Pushing back - requires 3 runs to crash itself (no longer a full ArcMap or ArcCatalog), and I think this is somewhat unlikely. Not enough time to resolve for this release
