Map generation in PISCES successfully changes the document title using the {bind} variables but the title in the map description does not change.
The map document title in the metadata from the base template mxd gets passed to all generated maps. Not an problem except that the current title is "Hardhead Distribution by Hydrologic Unit Code 12" is being applied to all maps on atlas.cws.ucdavis.edu which could be a little confusing.
An easy solution could be to just change the map description title in the basemap to be something much more generic such as "Species Distribution by HUC12".
