Users can change visibility of grants from the AE interface

No such functionality currently exists. A user will be able to make a grant "invisible", which in turn will

• Sever the grant role for the user. The grant no longer appears on the user's profile. It can no longer be downloaded from that profile. It will no longer be included in the search for that user.
• If the grant has other AE users as contributors, it will still list the user who made it invisible as a contributor, but not hyperlink to the user's profile.
• If the grant has no connections to any users in the database, it will be fully deleted from Aggie Experts public database, but not from the AE private database (long-term tbd). In turn, that means that it will be available for a pull from MIV.
• The grant will be unaffected in the original university source.
• Change of visibility is available as an action for each individual grant.

Another topic we need to discuss in the context of grant editing is whether users can modify any of the data, such as add contributors, and for pass-though grants, the original agency.

As a step towards that, grants will be added to ELements. The first step is to test that changes to grant visibility in Elements is reflected in the data pull from there.

The benefit of this approach is that the user will be aware of non-visible grants in AE and is able to reverse the process from the interface.
