This is a summary of section 1 What is linked data?

• You can connect any kind of entity together in a logical fashion using URLs
• The entities can be as abstract or concrete as you want.
• Concrete: Books, Files, Movies... etc
• Abstract: Relationships between things, or concepts

Manipulating Data on the platform

• When getting data from a linked data platform the standard method is to use and HTTP GET request.
• Creation of data is often implemented through HTTP POST and PUT requests
• Updating data is handled with HTTP PUT and PATCH requests
• Deleting data is handled with HTTP DELETE requests
