Profile Types

Crowdsourcing Volunteer:

• Crowdsourcing Volunteers help to extract wine type, wine color, page section, name, country, vintage (year), bottle size, price per bottle, and price per case from scanned wine catalogs and save them.

Data Scientist:

• Data scientists take an enormous mass of messy data points (unstructured and structured) and use their formidable skills in math, statistics and programming to clean, massage and organize them. Then they apply all their analytic powers – industry knowledge, contextual understanding, skepticism of existing assumptions – to uncover hidden solutions to business challenges.

Wine Historian:

• Wine historians look at wine type, wine color, page section, name, country, vintage (year), bottle size, price per bottle, and price per case associated with different types of wines to get information based on their common interest.

All users (Crowdsourcing Volunteers, Data Scientist, and Wine Historian) will have access to the following features

• Sign Up
• Log In/ Log Out
• Reset Password
• Update Information (First Name, Last Name, Email Address)

Can you define what exactly the role of a wine historian would be in the scheme of our project? We are confused what exactly the wine historian would be doing. Is the wine historian a profile that is even needed for the project?

The reason we ask is because none of our features address a wine historian as the user.

I don't think the wine historian has a role substantially different form the two others, no. I think you can remove.
