Case Study Presentation

Hey @tabinks! How long should the case study presentations be? Are there any guidelines about what to cover beyond what you've already said in class? There were a couple questions about this in office hours today.

The presentations should take as long as you need to discuss your topic, but I would anticipate that they should take about 15 minutes and plan for about 5 minutes of questions. There are no specific requirements since they will vary depending on the topic.

I would imagine that new technology/platform presentations will have the following:

• Slides
• Sample code/project for a demo (and a walkthrough)
• Some information/opinions that compares it to what we've seen in class
• Advantages/disadvantages of the technology

For a company review:

• Slides
• Articles, links to information
• Discuss history with cloud computing, experiences, etc.
• Advantages/disadvantages of their approach, technology stack, etc.

These case studies are to broaden our knowledge of new technologies, learn about best/worst practices, etc. Just be prepared to tell the story of your topic using whatever you think will be most beneficial to your classmates.
