I am not familiar with this field, can you please explain how is the DW-NOMINATE score measured? I also noticed that in the supervised machine learning algorithm, a linear kernel is applied for time concern, though in most machine learning applications, as far as I know, a Gaussian kernel is more common. I am wondering if other kernels (e.g. Gaussian) have been tried.
