Diffusion and Modern Communication #8

Similar to Issue #3 raised by jgdenby.

Given the large number of varied information diffusion settings in the modern world, might it be difficult to draw the line between the definition of a seeding process and a broadcast process? While this demarcation might be simpler in the context of traditional media, new media paradigms complicate things (social media, “infotainment”/”edutainment”, self-starting influencer nodes) - and also mediate the way social learning occurs.

In the context of your methodology that made use of pamphlets, the above may not apply strongly – however, could this be an issue when drawing inferences and insights for more generalized information dissemination strategies?
