Choice and function of alpha-based CTF #24

Hi, Thanks for the paper! Two questions:

  1. When switching from experiment 1 to experiment 2, you pick alpha-based CTF. Is there a theoretical backup for this choice of frequency?
  2. As indicated by experiment 2, alpha-based CTF seems to be able to distinguish different search conditions? I guess more experiment designs are needed to further validate the finding, so are you working in this direction right now? Thanks!

we actually ran the analysis on a range of frequency values, but over and over we find that spatial information is encoded in alpha activity and not in other frequencies. Thus, we focused on the frequency where the information was present.

Yes, we are constantly verifying and extending and learning more about this approach and others!
