From my understanding of the article, I think it would help you identify the effect of the actual treatment on learning outcomes. But RMPW is a method for analyzing the experiment after the data is collected - it is not useful in encouraging/forcing individuals to actually complete the treatment. For that, you would need some other incentive/mechanism to ensure those who are assigned to receive the treatment actually receive the treatment
While reading "Ratio-of-Mediator-Probability Weighting for Causal Mediation Analysis in the Presence of Treatment-by-Mediator Interaction", I think of one of my research proposal. I was thinking about doing a research on the strategies used to improve students' academic performance, strategies are: reviewing knowledge, practicing challenging problems and previewing knowledge. Research like this is related to individual's personal preference and it's really hard to make sure participants only use expected strategies (get expected treatment). Do you think RMPW could improve this kind of research?
