Questions on sources and variations of cognitive efforts #9

I'm not very familiar with neuroscience topics, so please correct me if I'm wrong. In the paper, three sources of cognitive efforts are identified, i.e. task complexity, task novelty and aging. My question is whether there are other variables impacting the interaction of cognitive effort and fractal scaling. For example, is there difference between male and female subjects? Also, RT differs significantly from other tasks in terms of complexity. Is there some pattern in the reduction of H as tasks grow from intuitive and quick to anti-intuitive and hard?

There could be. We don't have the statistical power to look at some of these individual difference measures, but they are important. I'm not sure I understand the second part of your question. We would hypothesize that H would get smaller when going from intuitive/quick tasks to anti-intuitive and hard tasks
