how does theoretical work on complex nonlinear dynamical models of social interactions factor into your research?

The models I have developed with William Brock all have statistical mechanics analogs in sense that mathematical structures are isomorphic. Our work shows how models arises from well posed descriptions of individual decision making and our models can be taken to data. Knowledge of the stat mech models was helpful in guiding some of our choices.
