6 months ago /request-access will display a message for useres without a cnetid:
An account is neccessary to request access to a restricted series. For those who do not have a UChicago ID, please request an account and try again to request access to the selected series. Account requests are reviewed individually and typically processed within five business days.
And a form to those that are logged in:
On https://ucla.lib.uchicago.edu/request-account :
-Change "Birthday" to Birth date" -Replace "Please describe your research project" with "Reason for request" -This should provide a drop down menu with options: -I am a student doing research in this field -I am an academic doing research in this field -I am a member of a language community represented in the collection -Other. Please describe your interest (followed by text box)
On the "Request Access to this Series" button: -It should now lead to a form, rather than just submitting the request -The request form should autopopulate the user and series identifications -The form should have a field labelled "Please describe the reason for your request." followed by a text box.
