For more complex trees (especially dendrograms), it would be helpful to have the option to leave node circles out. This should be enabled on a node-by-node basis.

With edge lengths calculated from the node edge, the extra length is now handled properly (only applied to branches where the node is drawn. This can be seen in the overlaid example below.
