Date Created link on work show pages fails #1927

Descriptive summary

Date Created is on work show pages as a faceted link. The link consistently fails. Dates that are a year only (no hyphen) also fail.

Expected behavior

All works with the same date created should be found.

Actual behavior

No works are found.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. find any work with date created. For example https://scholar.uc.edu/show/bc386p00p
  2. Click on the value of the Date created field.

Note that the link from a work is 'alt date created'. Is 'alt' part of the problem?
