Moving configuration out of the menu bar and into a pop-up window would make it easier to add some of the other options/features that have been proposed:

12 vs 24 hour displays.
Analog vs digital clock faces.
Color pickers.
It'd look better in fullscreen mode.
Probably more...

Make it happen!

Note that this is more of a "starting point" ticket for those other options I mentioned. All you'd need to do for this one is move whatever options are currently in the menu bar to a separate config window.
