Overlaps text and is just a yellow square. Is it supposed to be an image of something: yellow square

What site is this on?

knice commented 6 years ago

OK, found it. Social Sciences. When possible, include a link to the page so I can get right to the issue.

This is fixed on wcms-stage. Take a look and let me know if you're still seeing the issue.

Looks good on Dev - https://shr-dev.ucsc.edu/

Looks bad on Stage - https://shr-stage.ucsc.edu/

Ditto what Tom said. However, is it supposed to be a yellow square? It's weird. Is it supposed to be like a little down arrow?

knice commented 6 years ago

This should be fixed on stage. Let me know if you are still seeing the square on wcms-stage sites.

It's not fixed. Go to https://economics-stage.ucsc.edu/ Just published this morning.

This is finally resolved. For reasons I can't figure out, the icons appeared for me on my work laptop, but not my home computer. Probably had something to do with the icon being an icon font, which is a notoriously hack-y way to use icons.

I removed the icon font dependency and used a CSS background image instead.

If you still see a square, be sure to clear your cache and shift-refresh the page. I had to clear the cache on my home computer before the icon finally appeared.

This appears to be fixed. Closing
