UCSB uses mods:note with mods:noteGroupType = acquisition
UCSD uses bf:custodialHistory

Chrissy Rissmeyer Sep 1, 2017 These aren't quite equivalent concepts (see MARC 541 vs. MARC 561), but are in the same ballpark, so thought it was worth discussing.

Ryan Johnson Sep 28, 2017 I would lean toward keep separate, if they are truly different concepts. UCSD could always adopt note:acquisition at some point...

Need to decide:

Should we include both concepts?
If yes, which predicate to add?

I would vote for including both, but changing mods:note with mods:noteGroupType = acquisition to bf:immediateSourceOfAcquisition
