The darcy (symbol D) is a cgs unit of permeability that is widely used in the petroleum industry. Its formal definition is "a unit of permeability, representing the flow, at 1 atmosphere, of 1 cubic centimeter of fluid with 1 centipoise viscosity in 1 second through a 1-square-centimeter cross section of porous medium 1 centimeter long." I think my motion was to accept, sadly we seemed to have lost the ticket status workflow. What's needed now is the proposal be completed with the exact details we would add into the specification.

  • case sensitive symbol
  • case insensitive symbol
  • definition formula (what would show in the table)
  • any insertion into the body text surrounding the table
  • any footnote with additional detail We should probably elicit this detail directly in new proposals so that the proposal submitter would suggest this detail, that might make acceptance and implementation even easier and faster.
